Implants are placed in bone in those areas where teeth were lost. The implant remains in the bone from 3 to 5 months until it becomes integrated with the bone. A healing plug is then removed and an abutment is placed which extends into the mouth. This abutment is used to attach a crown fabricated by the lab. This procedure has become extremely reliable and is considered “state of the art”, as mentioned before. Dr. Brooks works with one of the best oral surgeons in the area to provide this extremely valuable service.
